Devotees of the Vaishno Devi Shrine in Jammu and Kashmir will soon be able to attend the Darshan live, from the comfort of their home.
A new mobile app is set to be launched on October 17, the first day of Navratri and will also have a feature for people to conduct a live hawan.
These new measures are for devotees, who are unable to undertake the 12-km trek to the hilltop shrine. The app will also facilitate home delivery of the pooja prasad.
The aarti at Vaishno Devi is currently live-streamed on a religious TV channel, as per the CEO of the Board, but he says the app will offer greater flexibility.
