Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has compared social media to a 'belagaam ghoda' or an unbridled horse and urged the workers of the BJP’s IT and Social Media cell to “train and prepare” to rein it in.

Speaking at meeting of BJP's Uttar Pradesh unit in Lucknow, the chief minister warned the party workers that they could fall prey to media trials if they were not careful. He also asked the IT cell workers to counter allegations surrounding the Pegasus snooping row immediately without waiting for an auspicious time.

Yogi Adityanath said that unlike print and TV media, social media does not have anyone at the helm who can control the flow of information.
