Newly appointed president of Congress’ Punjab unit, Navjot Singh Sidhu has invited Captain Amarinder Singh to the event where he’ll take charge as the unit chief July 23rd, news agency ANI reported quoting sources.
Sidhu also sent the invitation to Harish Rawat who is in-charge of the party’s affair in Punjab.
The long drawn power tussle between the two leaders ahead of the Assembly polls in the state is yet to come to an end.
Though the Punjab CM said he’d abide by the party’s decision, he has reportedly written to the Congress interim chief, Sonia Gandhi against Sidhu’s promotion.
