A Shikhar Dhawan-led young team will take on Sri Lanka in the limited over series starting July 18. The first ODI will take place in Colombo on Sunday.

With India's main squad busy with the preparations for the upcoming England series in Durham, 6 uncapped players including Devdutt Padikkal and Varun Chakravarthy, have grabbed their chances to play for India in the 3-match ODI and as many T20s.

While the Rahul Dravid-guided second-string team will make sure to leave their mark, the Sri Lanka series will prove to be a dry run for the young guns for the upcoming World T20.

Despite the fresh look of the team, the Men in Blue have an upper hand over the host as they are on a record-winning streak in ODIs vs Sri Lanka. India hasn't lost a single ODI hosted by Sri Lanka since 2012.

On the other hand, Dhasun Shanka led Sri Lankan team who will be without the services of top-order Kusal Parera will look to revive its spirit after a disappointing tour whitewash against England.

However, with an experienced bowling lineup that includes Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, the fearless young squad will likely dominate the fragile-looking Sri Lankan team.
