Indian equity markets were almost flat in the opening session on Tuesday following global cues.
At 9:20 am, the Sensex was 27 points in the green at 40,172 and the Nifty was trading at 11,781, up 0.12%.
Kotak Mahindra Bank, Divis Lab, Shree Cements, Nestle India and NTPC were the top gainers. Whereas ICICI Bank, Adani Ports, Axis Bank, SBI and IndusInd Bank were the top losers.
