A huge crowd of TMC supporters gathered outside the CBI office on Monday following the arrest of top party leaders in the Narada scam. TMC supporters pelted stones while protesting outside CBI office in Kolkata over the arrests of party heavyweights Firhad Hakim, Subrata Mukherjee and MLA Madan Mitra.
The main gate of the CBI office in Kolkata has been closed over the massive protests. Security forces carried out baton charges against TMC protesters outside the CBI office.
TMC has written to the Kolkata police commissioner and accused CBI of working at the behest of BJP and Bengal governor. Mamata’s nephew and TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee urged everyone to abide by the law and refrain from violating lockdown norms and said the battle will be fought legally‘
