After a Supermoon, Bloodmoon and Total Lunar Eclipse followed by the Ring of Fire Solar Eclipse last month, the Strawberry moon will grace the sky tonight.
Strawberry Moon, which will appear on Thursday, is the first full moon after the Summer solstice when it reaches its full phase.
While the Moon is bigger than its normal size due to its proximity to Earth in its orbit, the June full moon is not considered a supermoon, like the one observed in May.
The celestial phenomenon is known by different names like Rose Moon in Europe and Hot Moon in the northern hemisphere.
Normally, there are three full moons between the Summer Solstice and Equinox. However, in 2021 there are four such phases.
NASA says the full Moon will appear for about three days around this time. From India Standard Time eastward to Line Islands Time, and the International Dateline, the moon will appear on Friday morning.
