Hollywood superstar Scarlett Johansson says she is happy that her Marvel Cinematic Universe avatar Natasha Romanoff, as well as her superhero alter ego Black Widow, has moved away from the ‘hyper-sexualisation’.
In an interview, Scarlett admitted that her role was oversexualized in the beginning and that she wasn't too happy about that.
The actor said her character is talked about in ‘Iron Man 2’ like ‘she's a piece of something, like a possession or a thing'.
The 35-year-old actor was first seen portraying the role of the red-headed superhero for the first time in 2010 when she starred alongside Robert Downey Jr in 'Iron Man 2' and now 11 years later she is headlining her own film ‘Black Widow’ which is scheduled to release worldwide on July 9.
