Recently, Sandra Bullock opened up about her experience of shooting in a prison. She said, "We had the luxury of being allowed into the prison system to speak to women, as well as women who had been recently released and up to five years out, up to a year out, and share their stories. And I just listen, I listen, and I observed in the research that I did. It was real eye-opening in how, you know, as a woman, you know that you're always fighting to be seen anyway. And the women in the prison system and even after their release, are absolutely non-existent and invisible versus the men in the prison system."
She added, "It was heart-breaking because they all had the same story of of how they were born, what they were born into, what they were deprived of, that they were immediately a victim of their circumstance, which was poverty. They did not have resources. They didn't have support - nothing, and they had even less coming out of prison. So in order to survive, who do you become physically, emotionally? What tools you take on so that at least you can wake up the next day and still be alive?"
'The Unforgivable', is all set to release on Netflix starting December 10 this year.
