Samsung has officially announced its latest Exynos 2100 flagship mobile processor for 2021. The new octa-core chip is Samsung’s first 5G-integrated mobile processor, built on the 5nm process. Housing a single Arm Cortex-X1 core, three Cortex-A78 cores and four Cortex-A55 cores, Samsung says the 2100 chip can perform up to 26 trillion operations per second, while being over twice as power-efficient as compared to the previous-gen chip. It also gets the Arm Mali-G78 for graphics performance and supports both sub-6GHz and mmWave 5G bands, along with camera resolutions of up to 200MP. The Exynos 2100 is first expected to be seen on the upcoming Galaxy S21 series, set to launch on January 14.
