H&M's collaborative line designed by Indian designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee sold out almost completely within hours of launch in India, the UK and several other countries.
Most of the womenswear and accessories pieces sold out instantly, while the menswear followed suit with only a few pieces remaining on the H&M site by the evening of the launch day.
Unable to snap up anything for themselves, netizens soothed their pain with memes on social media. One user even wrote that 'you had to be quick like vaccine slots' while another 'wished for the pandemic to end as quickly' as the collection sold out.
Going by the history of H&M's designer collaborations, the Sabyasachi drop will not be restocked but you can sign up to get notified on H&M's site in case it does.

Interestingly, before the collection's release on August 12, Sabyasachi was criticised vehemently for working with H&M, a brand known for its labour exploitation and unethical production practices.
