BJP's Bihar MP and state president Sanjay Jaiswal has said that despite the surge in coronavirus cases in the state, people are still not willing to understand the grim situation. He said that his constituency Champaran is running out of facilities inspite of taking pre-emptive measures.

Jaiswal who is also a doctor, further said that the current situation is so bad that even his doctor friends are not taking his calls as they too are helpless. Urging people to follow the basic protocol for protection against Covid-19, the BJP leader in his FB post said that wearing a mask and maintaining social distancing are the only conditional cures for the infection.

His statement came a day after Bihar's Chief Secretary Arun Kumar Singh died of Covid-19

Currently, Bihar has over 1 lakh active cases and has recorded 775 deaths in the last 16 days.
