A series of videos of an Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur professor abusing students belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe communities during an online class have emerged online. The recordings kicked up a storm on social media and among the academics.

In one of the purported videos, the professor, Seema Singh from the department of humanities and social sciences is screaming and using expletives for students of a preparatory English class. She further goes on threatens to fail them.
