AIIMS Director Dr Randeep Guleria has said on the usage of Remdesivir that the medication does not decrease mortality in coronavirus patients. He said the sought-after drug is useful in only hospitalization and it has limited role in moderate illness.
He also said plasma therapy too has limited role.
Guleria said that majority of patients will improve with only with sympathetic treatment and giving drugs when not required will do more harm than good.
