Receding Chilean glacier raises alarms for climate change

The climate is raising alarms, and its about time we take a hint. Within the last two weeks, two giant icebergs as large as 6 football pitches broke off the Grey Glacier in Chilean Patagonia. Experts have said that this is the first time icebergs of this proportion have broken off in such quick succession. According to the report in Reuters, the glaciers have been susceptible to melting due to rising temperatures and increasing rainfall along with rising water levels in the lake.
