Shreyas Iyer, who will return to action when IPL resumes in September, is looking at the cash-rich league as an opportunity to make it to India's squad for the World T20, which follows soon after.

Speaking to India Today, Iyer said that his mindset is to become the best version of himself. I will do anything to be in the team and make sure my team wins, Iyer added.

The 26-year-old had injured his shoulder during the ODIs against England and had to undergo surgery. In his absence, Rishabh Pant was handed captaincy duties of the Delhi Capitals. Moreover, Suryakumar Yadav emerged as an impressive middle-order batter for Team India in T20I.

However, Iyer doesn't see other players as his competition and just wants to keep going beyond his abilities. It's always you vs you, added Iyer.
