RBI slaps Rs 2 cr penalty on SBI

The Reserve Bank of India  has slapped a penalty of Rs 2 crore on the State Bank of India it stated in a press release. 

RBI without providing any details said the action is based on deficiencies in regulatory compliance. 

The central bank also clarified that the penalty does not effect any deal entered into by the bank with its customers.
