It's finally curtains on superstar Rajinikanth's political act. The veteran actor on Monday dissolved his political outfit Rajini Makkal Mandram saying he has "no plans to enter politics in future".

The announcement followed his meeting with members of his forum to discuss its future.

The megastar had earlier reignited talks of his politics entry by saying he would discuss with the district secretaries of Rajini Makkal Mandram party about his foray into field.

He said he would meet party members and discuss the future of the Makkal Mandram, and also whether ‘he would enter politics in the future’

70-year-old Rajinikanth had earlier opted out of politics in December 2020 over health worries. He was hospitalized briefly for blood pressure fluctuations following a film shoot.
