The Rajasthan government has issued a parental advisory to protect children from online gaming addiction. Stating that gaming addiction can lead to disorder, the government has suggested measures to protect the children.
The advisory issued by the Rajasthan Council of School Education suggests technical points helpful in monitoring the activities and involvement of children in gaming.
Parents and teachers have been asked to watch if children are behaving in an abnormal manner, whether they are mostly involved in online activities, if there is a sudden increase in time spent online and if they turn aggressive after using the internet.
It further said that the child should accesses the internet from a computer in the family space. The advisory suggested establishing an "internet gateway" at home which will help in effectively monitoring their child's internet use.
