PUBG Corporation, the South Korean publisher and developer of the blockbuster battle royale game, has decided to withdraw the license of PUBG Mobile from Chinese firm Tencent Games in India. This comes after India’s ban of 118 Chinese apps and games, including PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite, last week. The company said in a statement that it hopes “to work hand-in-hand” with the government to restore the game in the country while being fully compliant with Indian laws and regulations. Moving forward, PUBG Corp will take on all publishing responsibilities within the country.
