PTI: BCCI to host the remaining matches of IPL 2021 in UAE in September

According to a report in the PTI, BCCI is planning to host the remainder of IPL 2021 in UAE starting September 18th. The remaining 31 matches will be completed in 10 days of doubleheader games and the rest as a single match day. The qualifiers along with the final will take place in the 2nd week of October. Quoting a BCCI official, PTI confirmed that the Indian cricket team will take a charter flight from England to UAE which will be a bubble to bubble transfer and the board is negotiating with other national boards to release their players to participate in the IPL. The report also quotes an IPL franchise official that BCCI has communicated this to the teams and asked them to prepare for the restart. Meanwhile, the proposed T20 series vs South Africa in September before the World T20 stands indefinitely postponed.
