Sony’s PlayStation 5 has become the fastest-selling videogame console in US history, according to analyst firm NPD Group.
The firm’s executive director said on Twitter that the PS5 set the record for the fastest-selling hardware platform in the US by both units sold and total dollar sales.
Sony is struggling to keep up PS5 supply with how fast the console is flying off the shelves, affected by a global chip shortage, and increased demand amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
The PS5 continues to be out of stock in India, and many countries across the globe.
