Protesting farmers hold 'Kisaan Parliament' at Delhi's Jantar Mantar

200 farmers under the umbrella organisation of Samyukta Kisan Morcha held a 'Kisaan Parliament' at Delhi's Jantar Mantar on Thursday to protest against the three farm legislations.

The farmers wore identification badges and carried flags of their unions and travelled to Jantar Mantar from their protest sites in buses with a police escort.

They will protest at the venue from 11am to 5pm every day till August 9. The farmers wanted to protest till the end of the monsoon session i.e. August 13 but were granted permission only till August 9. 

Delhi Police has increased security in central Delhi because of the protests and has deployed Rapid Action Force and CRPF outside Jantar Mantar.
