The Producers Guild of India has shared an open letter, two months after Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput's untimely death sparked the nepotism debate.
Producers Guild wrote that 'Bollywood is one of the most important sources of soft power for the nation at a global level' and has brought joy, honour and glory to the nation.
Highlighting the positive aspects of the industry, the Guild added that the film industry employs hundreds of thousands of people, boosts travel and tourism.
