Ronaldo's 13th goal of the season helped Manchester United edge out last-placed Norwich City. United have moved to fifth on the Premier League points table after Saturday's game as new manager Ralf Rangnick registered his second consecutive win.
After a hard-fought first half, Ronaldo broke the deadlock in the 75th minute. Norwich tried to make a comeback but Red Devils' goalkeeper David de Gea made some excellent saves.
Following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's sacking, United extended their unbeaten streak to six games now in all competitions.
