Liverpool was left a little behind in their quest to catch up with Manchester City for the Premier League title, as they played out a 2-2 draw against Tottenham.

Harry Kane ended his Premier League goal drought when he opened the scoring for Tottenham in just the 13th minute. Andrew Robertson then set up Diogo Jota, who made no mistake and equalised in the 35th minute. After missing a great chance himself at the start of the game, Robertson then put the Reds ahead in the 2nd half. Son Heung-min though once again levelled the game in the 74th minute.

While the draw extended Antonio Conte's unbeaten league start at Tottenham to 5 games, Liverpool on the other hand could not top the league at Christmas for the first time in four years.
