Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday hit out at the Mamata Banerjee government for depriving the farmers of West Bengal of the benefits of the PM-Kisan scheme. "The farmers of Bengal have been deprived of the benefits of the Centre's schemes. Bengal is the only state which is not allowing benefits of the schemes to reach the farmers," The PM said. While transfering PM-Kisan payments into the accounts of 9 crore farmers, the PM also hit out at the Left for not raising the issue of farmers benefits in Bengal while supporting farmers in Punjab.
