Addressing the centenary celebrations of AMU, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that the AMU represents India's diversity and strength. Calling AMU campus a mini India, the PM said that the university's alumni have spread India's culture globally. Lauding AMU for efforts towards women empowerment, the PM pointed out that women enrolment at AMU has gone up 35% and dropout rate of girls has gone down considerably. He asked the AMU students and alumni to aid the Atmanirbhar Bharat mission.
