Hundreds of people are queuing up at the Indirapuram Gurudwara in Ghaziabad since Thursday evening after the Gurudwara started what they are calling an 'oxygen langar'. While Delhi NCR is reeling under the issue of oxygen shortage, the Shri Guru Singh Sabha Gurudwara along with NGO Khalsa Help International started administering oxygen for free to anyone in need.
Officials at the gurudwara in a video that is now viral said, that the objective of the langar was to stabilise people with acute respiratory distress, giving them a breather before they find a hospital. They added that the gurudwara is not giving away or refilling oxygen cylinders, but instead is administering oxygen on the spot to patients. As per reports, 700 patients had already visited the gurudwara by Friday evening.
