American-Japanese tennis star Naomi Osaka has pulled out of the French Open after a bitter feud with the organisers. Osaka, a 2-time Grand Slam winner and a former world number 1 had boycotted the media duties which included press conferences and interviews citing mental health. The organisers were left fuming with this choice as they levied a $15,000 fine against the 23-year-old. She was also threatened with suspension after she stuck to her stance. In a post on social media, Osaka said that she suffered long bouts of depression and will now take some time away from the court to focus on herself.
