No new year parties in Rajasthan, night curfew on Dec 31

The Rajasthan government has issued an order to impose night curfew in the state on the New Year eve. The state home department has said that the night curfew will be implemented strictly to prevent the spread of coronavirus amid fears of new strains found in the UK. The curfew will be in effect from 8pm on December 31 to 6 am on January 1 in all cities with a population of over one lakh. Markets in all these places will be closed at 7 pm on December 31. All social, religious, political congregations have been forbidden in the state. Bursting of firecrackers and their sale too remains prohibited in the state.
