In the wake of the Covid-19 outbreak, the state government in Gujarat has issued a set of new guidelines to be followed during the Navratri and Diwali season.

All Garbas in public places have been prohibited, as per the guidelines which will come into effect from October 16. Setting up of idols and worshipping the deity will be permitted in public after seeking prior permission from local authorities, but distributing prasad and touching the deity will not be allowed.

Maximum of 200 people will be allowed to gather for an event, with full adherence to protocols issued by the government. All religious, cultural and entertainment events will be permitted only outside containment zones.
