The district administration in UP's Etawah has come up with a novel idea to motivate people to take Covid vaccine. The SDM has reportedly ordered the liquor shops to sell alcohol to only those who have taken Covid vaccine. News agency ANI on Monday shared pictures of a liquor shops where posters are pasted, saying: "Liquor will sold to only vaccinated."
ANI quoted a shopkeeper as saying that they are checking vaccination certificates before selling liquor to individuals.
Etawah District Excise Officer Kamal Kumar Shukla, however, said that no such order has been issued by the government and the SDM might have asked the liquor shop owners to motivate people to get vaccinated
