Observed each year from 1st September to 7th September, National Nutrition Week aims at creating awareness around health and nutrition. This week-long campaign was first launched by the Indian government in 1982. The week lays its entire focus on educating people on the importance of nutrition, a healthy lifestyle and a balanced diet.

The theme for the year 2021 is "Feeding smart right from the start." A balanced diet and good nutrients right from birth are vital for the complete growth and development of children. The need of the hour is to make sure that adequate nourishment reaches all.
