Former World Number 1 and 20-time Grand Slam Champion Rafael Nadal saved a match point as he beat Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-4, 6-7, 7-5 to win the Barcelona Open for a record 12th time. The Spaniard was on the verge of a defeat but saved a match point and won 3 games back to back to win the final and defeat Tsitsipas in over 3 hours and 30 mins. Interestingly, this is the first time, Nadal has won the Barcelona title after dropping more than one set. With this win, Nadal still remains unbeaten in the 12 Barcelona Open finals that he has played.
