English Premier League club Tottenham sacked manager Jose Mourinho on Monday after just 17 months in charge. The sacking came just 6 days before the Spurs were set to face Manchester City in the EFL Cup final.

The Portuguese replaced Mauricio Pochettino as Tottenham manager in November 2019 and guided the club to 6th in the Premier League last season.

Tottenham was 7th on the table at the time of his sacking, and had picked up two points from their last 3 league games. They were also knocked out of the Europa League in March.
