Newly declassified White House Tapes reveal former US President Richard Nixon's clear distaste towards Indians and the country.
The tapes that were released in May this year date back to June 17, 1971, when the Cold war brought Bangladesh to ruins. The tapes reveal talks between the Republican president and Henry Kissinger, the then US National security Advisor.
Nixon has called Indians 'most sexless and pathetic' , referring to Indian women as the 'most unattractive women in the world'. Calling Indians superb flatterers, Kissinger said Indians had great skill to suck up to people in key positions.
A professor in Princeton University who filed a legal request for the declassification of these tapes said, that the full content reveals how the US policies towards South Asia were influenced by his hatred towards the nation.
