Mohammed Siraj got the worst possible news of his father's demise even before the Test series began Down Under but his decision to stay in Australia worked wonders for Team India. He was racially abused in Sydney on multiple occasions bur Siraj made his ball do the talking in Brisbane. While he finished with just a wicket in the 1st innings, the 2nd innings saw the Hyderabadi speedster claim his maiden Test 5-wicket haul including big scalps Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne. He may have been playing just his 3rd Test, but with an injury-hit India forced to field a young bowling line-up, the responsibility of leading the pack fell on his shoulders and the 26-year-old came out with flying colours. His fiery spell restricted the Aussies to 294 as it was the 1st time in 13 years that Australia was bowled out in both the innings of a Gabba Test.
