Amid the alarming surge in Covid-19 cases, the Delhi High Court on Wednesday said it is compulsory to wear masks even if a person is driving alone in the car. The court dismissed all the four petitions challenging the imposition of challans on people for not wearing a mask while they're alone in private cars. It further added that even if a car is occupied by just one person, it’s a public space. It went on to observe that a mask acts as a 'suraksha kavach' or a protection gear which would prevent the spread of COVID19
