Equity markets opened almost flat on Friday as Asian shares struggled and US technology stocks fell overnight.
At 9:20 am the Sensex was at 38,877, up 37 points and the Nifty was 0.11% in the green at 11,462.
Infratel, HDFC Life, Hindalco, Titan and BPCL were the top gainers. Whereas HCL Tech, Grasim, Nestle India, Shree Cements and Bajaj Finance were the top Nifty losers.
