Mark Wood out of 3rd Test vs India due to shoulder injury

In a big blow to the English cricket team, Mark Wood has been ruled out of the upcoming third test against India which is scheduled to begin on Wednesday at Headingley. The 31-year-old bowler is facing issues due to the injury that he sustained on the fourth day of the 2nd Test. He dived headlong into an advertising hoarding while saving a boundary.

The England and Wales cricket board issued a statement on Monday that mentioned that the English cricketer was ruled out with a jarred right shoulder. They further said that he will remain a part of the squad and continue his rehabilitation with the English medical team. Wood will undergo assessment after the end of the 3rd Test. 

Apart from Woods, Jofra Archer, Stuart broad, Olly Stone and Chris Woakes are also not playing the ongoing 5 match Test series due to their injuries.
