Launching a fresh attack on West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar, Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee on Monday called him a "corrupt" man whose name "was in the chargesheet of Jain Hawala case".

Mamata Banerjee also said that she has written three letters for the removal of Dhakhar. TMC is reportedly planning to pass a resolution in the state assembly against Governor Dhankhar.

Meanwhile, Dhankhar has announced that he will address a press conference on Monday evening at Raj Bhawan.

The governor and the chief minister has been at loggerheads ever since the former took charge in 2019. The ruling Trinamool Congress has accused him of interfering in the day-to-day affairs of the government.
