Lucknow bound Indigo flight makes emergency landing in Pakistan, passenger dead on arrival

Indigo flight 6E1412 from Sharjah to Lucknow was diverted to Karachi on Tuesday morning after a passenger on board fell ill.

The flight entered the Pakistani airspace and made an emergency landing at 5 am after the flight captain contacted the control tower and requested for the aircraft to make an emergency landing on humanitarian grounds.

The passenger, 67-year-old Habib ur Rehman could not be revived and was declared dead on arrival. Indigo released a statement sharing the news. The flight was allowed to depart for Ahmedabad after completing all formalities.
