LPG Cylinder to Petrol - price hikes galore! Global energy crisis enters India's kitchen and cars

LPG Cylinder Price: LPG gas cylinder prices have seen yet another steep hike and petrol prices are on a roll to new record highs daily as the global energy crisis come and hits household budgets across the country. 

LPG Gas cylinder prices were raised by Rs 15 on Wednesday, taking the toll of hikes to a whopping Rs 200 in just this year alone. In Patna the price of a LPG Gas cylinder is just of shy of the Rs 1000 mark. Subsidised as well as non-subsidised LPG now costs ₹899.50 per 14.2-kg cylinder in Delhi, according to a report by ANI. This is the fourth straight increase in prices in less than two months. Subsidised and non-subsidised LPG rates were hiked by ₹25 per cylinder on September 1.

Fuel prices are another ballooning expense hurting consumers across the country. Petrol and diesel prices have been hiked for the second consecutive sending retail rates to all-time high. The petrol price has been increased by 30 paise while diesel has become expensive by 35 paise. Petrol prices are up by Rs 1.30 & diesel by Rs 1.65 in just the last 6 days. In the year so far fuel prices are up over Rs 18/litre.
