Delhi Metro began running at 100% capacity on Monday after DDMA announced further relaxation of Covid restrictions in the national capital.
Long queues were seen outside the busiest Delhi Metro stations such as Anand Vihar, Akshardham and Nirman Vihar as soon as the services resumed.

Commuters were seen waiting in serpentine queues outside the Metro stations in wait for the gates to reopen. The stairs and roads outside some of the stations were seen filled with commuters waiting to board the Delhi Metro trains.
Apart from the increased capacity, DMRC will be opening 16 additional entry gates across 16 Delhi Metro stations from Monday onwards to facilitate easier movement of passengers.
However, standing travel for commuters still remains prohibited.
