CWG 2022, Commonwealth Games Day 6 Live:
Tejaswin Shankar became first athlete to win a medal in track and field event at Birmingham 2022. He won Bronze Tejaswin Shakar in Men's High Jump event. Meanwhile, Juduka Tulik Maan had to settle for a Silver after losing her 78kg+ final match.
Earlier, Lovepreet Singh won India's first medal of the day while Gurdeep Singh became the second weightlifter on Day 6 to win Bronze. Saurav Ghosal defeated England's James Willstrop to win a Bronze medal in men's single squash.
Nitu stormed into the semi-final with a comprehensive win over her opponent. In Women's hockey, the Indian women's team stormed into the semifinals after a hard-fought victory over the Canadians. They will play mighty Australians in the semis.
The Men's hockey team displayed a brilliant effort as they defeated Canada 8-0 and kept their hopes alive to top Pool A. World Champions Nikhat Zareen won her quarterfinal match easily and confirms yet another medal in Boxing for India.

With a well-compiled unbeaten half-century from Jemimah Rodrigues, India post a 163-run for Barbados. Earlier, Shafali Verma went thrashed the bowlers all round the park and scored 43 runs off 26 balls, including seven boundaries and a SIX.
Deepti Sharma supported Rodrigues during the 50-run stand for 5th wicket and scored 28-ball 34.

Looks like he'll go for 161 kg with his 2nd attempt.
India's Deepak Deswal is through to the quarter-finals of Men's 100 kg after beating Eric Fouda from Cameroon by Ippon.
He will take on Harry Lovell-Hewitt of England next.
In Men's singles, India's Mridul Borgohain has defeated Chris Locke of Falkland Islands 21-5.
India's Lovepreet Singh will be in action shortly in the Men's 109 kg category. The lifter has put his 1st attempt for Snatch at 145 kg right now. Could change though later on.
Oh hold on! Lovepreet's Snatch attempt has now been changed to 157 kg, which means he's gunning for Gold since it's the highest in the field.
In Men's singles, India's Mridul Borgohain is currently leading 19-4 against Chris Locke of Falkland Islands after 12 ends.
