'World's oldest practicing doctor' shares 3 tips to keep your brain sharp

Dr Howard Tucker, declared the 'oldest practicing doctor' by Guinness World Records and neurologist for more than decades is often questioned, that at the age of 101, how he keeps his brain sharp. 

Tucker, said that good genes and a bit of luck can give you a head start, but there are 3 basic principles that you should follow to keep your mind sharp and healthy. 

  • Keep the mind busy in any kind of activity like office work, household work, a hobby, learning new skills or entertainment.
  • Studies have suggested that social connections could play a role in preserving our memory and cognitive abilities.
  • Lastly, immersing yourself in a good book, whether fiction or nonfiction, requires your brain to process a bulk of new information which is key to keeping your mind sharp.
