It's time to drop the habit! A new study has found that people who use e-cigarettes or vapes, have a higher risk of developing cavities. The research was published in the Journal of the American Dental Association.
For the study, researchers examined more than 13,000 people over the age of 16 for 3 years.
As per the findings, the sweet flavour of vaping liquid, which clings to the teeth when breathed, is one major factor that increases the risk of cavities. Some dental studies have also linked e-cigarette usage to higher levels of gum diseases.
