Diwali, the festival of lights, brings joy and merriment as homes dazzle with diyas and vibrant decorations. Amidst the festivities, the indulgence in delicious sweets and rich, calorie-laden dishes is customary. While these treats add to the celebratory spirit, it's essential to be mindful of our calorie intake during this time.
Post-Diwali, many people opt for a detox regimen to reset their bodies and promote overall well-being. Designer and actor Masaba Gupta too has shared her post Diwali detox routine on her Instagram story. She has mentioned that this routine is nothing fancy but just requires 16 hours of intermittent fasting, intake of soaked nuts, a lot of protein and water and movement. She has also urged everyone to workout and push themselves to stay fit and healthy.
However, remember to embrace a balanced diet and incorporate nutrient-rich foods which aid in cleansing the system. Fasting should only be done according to one’s body’s requirements and also should be followed by a healthcare professional’s advice. A post-celebration detox not only helps in shedding the extra calories but also rejuvenates the body, ensuring a healthy start after the festive revelries.
