Do you feel bloated after having a heavy meal? Well, there are certain foods which make your belly feel fuller and tighter due to gas. 

Recently, nutritionist Lovneet Batra shared common food items that have the potential to make you feel bloated. 

  • Carbonated drinks contain a high amount of carbon dioxide which get trapped and increases the pressure inside the stomach resulting in bloating and belching.
  • Beans contain high fibre and sugar which may cause bloating.
  • Cruciferous vegetables like kale, broccoli and cabbage contain sugar that produces gas which causes bloating.
  • Raw vegetables and salads contain lots of fibre which are fermented by bacteria and cause bloating. 

Thus, the nutritionist advices consuming these food items in moderate quantity, eat slowly, chew more thoroughly and stay hydrated, which will flush out your system and help you de-bloat.
